Giovanna Caruso is an Italian filmmaker who currently lives in the United States. She started writing at the young age of 10 years old, winning awards during her high school years back in Italy. The passion for movies and directing started around the same time. At the young age of twenty-two years old, life events brought her to leave her family behind and move to the United States. With her non-existent knowledge of the English language, her writing dreams were over.
She couldn’t afford going to school to study English so she relied on volunteer work, movies and later on books.
The difficult journey and life experiences all over the world inspired her to follow her dreams and keep fighting for what she believes in through the magic art of filmmaking.
