Writer / Producer

Katina Nikou is a Second City Chicago alum used to writing and performing for sold out shows. Her love for writing has taken her to the stages of many popular venues such as The Comedy Store and Flappers in the form of stand-up and to the small screen as the co-creator/writer/host of a loosely scripted Travel Food Show “L.A. Happy” set in Los Angeles. The series streams in the U.S. on HideOut TV and in Germany on Comcast Xfinity.

She was most recently credited for the dramatic short film she co-wrote and produced “Like Nothing Happened” about the delicate subject matter of miscarriage. The film won Best Drama at this year’s Rock the Shorts Film Festival and has been a finalist in many other popular festivals including The Toronto Shorts International Film Festival, The Minneapolis International Film Festival, and the Culver City Film Festival to name a few.

Previously, Katina adapted a popular English Teen Novel “Cupid’s Match” into a thirteen-minute pilot for the U.S. market on the CW’s popular streaming network CWSeed. The episode went viral internationally with 126 million views and surpassed the viewership of their highest ranked shows.
Katina is currently working with producers regarding her Horror feature “One Last Wish” and Romantic Comedy “Road to Reality”, while she works on completing her Christmas feature “Red” and Dark Comedy feature “All the Things We Didn’t Say”.
