Director
Angela Besharah is an award-winning Director, Actor and Producer.
Her previous short film, RIVE, won Best Foreign Drama Short in Atlanta and was given an Award of Merit in Los Angeles. NOW & THEN, her first narrative short, did the festival tour and was featured in The New York Times. She’s directed documentary shorts for TVO’s GET INVOLVED! and was Assistant to the Director on the feature film FONDI ’91 shot on location in Italy.
In Theatre, she’s directed 11 plays (7 original works) that received rave reviews, broke box office records, and experienced sold out or extended runs. The first play she directed, won Best Production and Best Direction in Toronto.
She also works as photographer doing production stills for theatre/film as well as headshots for actors. She’s been coaching actors privately for auditions/on set work and opened up, The Lighthouse Acting Studio, earlier this year teaching On-Camera and Scene Study classes.
