Julie Brar is a Toronto based actor, writer, producer and director who works in film, television and theatre. Some of Julie’s television credits include a recurring role on Lost Girl, as well as roles on Beauty and the Beast, and Fringe. She made her feature film debut in Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief. 

In addition to acting Julie has written and produced several of her own independent projects. Some of her writing/producing/acting credits include SHIVA (short film featured in VISAFF and Filmi), Om Sweet Om (web series) and The Very Very Girl (Toronto Fringe 2013). The Very Very Girl was a solo theatre piece in which Julie played six different characters, both male and female with multiple accents.

Julie is co-producer on the very first all-female theatre production of Glengarry Glen Ross in Toronto April 2015. Most recently Julie set her sights on creating more female driven content. She wrote and directed Heart in 2017, the story of which was inspired by real life events. She’s also the writer and co-director of Began Again, a web series currently in production.
